Dr. Baker is a Virginia native but has moved throughout the United States through her service in the United States Army Dental Corps. She recently completed her contract and after almost a decade, separated Honorably from Active Duty with the rank of Major. During her time in service she was awarded prestigious accolades such as; Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal and Armed Forces Ribbon. With her long desire to serve, she will continue her military career in the US Army Reserve.

She has been with Lubbock Endodontics part time while she was stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas where she was the Endodontic Mentor for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program as well as an Assistant Professor with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.

Dr. Baker is now full time with the practice and calls Lubbock home. Prior to moving to Texas, Dr. Baker completed her Endodontic Residency with the US Army Advanced Education Program in Endodontics at Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg), North Carolina. She received her Masters of Science in Oral Biology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences with her thesis in “Comparative Study in J. Morita Accutomo 170 Quality Settings on the Ability to Detect MB2 in Maxillary First and Second Molars”. Before deciding to specialize in Endodontics, Dr. Baker completed an additional general dentistry residency by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Fort Campbell in Kentucky. To start her dental journey, Dr. Baker attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Considering Dr. Baker knew she wanted to pursue Dentistry from an early age, she also attended Virginia Commonwealth University for her undergraduate Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with a Chemistry minor where she graduated Magna Cum Laude along with University Honors.

Dr. Baker has achieved the highest honor in Endodontics by completing the rigorous process of becoming Board Certified in Endodontics making her a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. When Dr. Baker isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her family and her beautiful Goldendoodle.
